Dr
Khangura has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, Why
not book yourself in for a consultation visit to learn more?
Possible
treatments include;
Tooth whitening
As we get older our teeth naturally change in colour
becoming more yellow and dark as they pick up stains from
foodstuff and smoking etc. This process was first
pioneered in the US, teeth can be whitened using jell
placed in fabricated trays that closely fit the teeth.
These trays are worn one to two hours a day for a period of about a week.
This easy procedure initially involves Dr Khangura taking
moulds of your teeth,. on your return visit to the surgery a detailed
instruction would be given.
If you feel that this is inconvenient for you Dr Khangura
can offer an alternative service
in the surgery. This involves using blue light activated
whitening gel system, this process would require a single
45min appointment.
A consultation would be required to determine the
suitability of your teeth for this treatment.
White fillings
Your old metal fillings can be replaced by modern
composites or porcelain inlays. These white fillings
although more costly than the metal equivalents do look
like natural teeth.
Veneers
These are thin porcelain facing which can be bonded to the
front of the teeth to
greatly enhance the appearance of
discoloured or miss shaped teeth.
Veneers give
the benefit of having great aesthetics with the minimum of tooth
preparation.
Crowns
Crowns can be used to replace or enhance the appearance of
discoloured and
miss-shaped teeth. They can also be used to change to orientation of
miss-aligned teeth.
Crowns can also be used to strengthen weakened teeth.
The latest metal free crowns have superb aesthetics making them
almost indistinguishable from
natural teeth.
Dr Khangura is often requested to replace the older types
of crowns which have
black margins.
Bridges
Bridges can be used to replace missing teeth, there many
different options available.
Please book an appointment with Dr Khangura to
discuss your personnel requirements.
Hygienist
The surgery offers the services of a Hygienist. Healthy
gums are very important dental
health, gum disease can lead to bad breath, bad taste,
loose teeth and extreme cases loss of teeth. A Hygienist
in the team can help fight against these problems.
Prevention

Dental Surgery. Dr Khangura is always pleased to offer you
advice on how to minimize dental intervention.
Regular checkups are advised so that if treatment is
required it can kept to a minimum.
